demonstration workshop and distribution program in ward number 10 of Budanilkantha Municipality. The workshop, held under the Modern Energy Cooking Service, sought to establish a sustainable supply-chain and increase demand for energy efficient cooking practices in two districts through Savings and Credit Co-operative Organisations (SACCOS). Nabaraj Bhattarai, Ward Chairperson of Budanilkantha Ward Number 10 was the chief guest of the program. Participants from a prior awareness session, well-informed about the EPC’s use, features, and benefits, were invited. The workshop included hands-on instructions for EPC usage, highlighting its versatility through the preparation of various Nepali dishes. Following the demonstration, interested participants were offered EPC in subsidized prices.
Women’s Awareness Centre Nepal (WACN)
Nari Chetna Kendra Nepal, also known as Women’s Awareness Centre Nepal (WACN), was established in 1991 by a group of women interested in improving the socio-economic status and self-development capacity of disadvantaged people, particularly women and children.
