Today, on August 6, 2024, Nari Chetana Kendra Nepal (WACN) held the inception meeting for the program “Creating an Equitable and Sustainable Economy through Gender Inclusion and Women – the ‘Krishi Sathi'” at Panchkhal Municipality, Kavrepalanchowk. A total of 37 participants, including the vice chairperson, ward chairpersons, representatives from various wards, key stakeholders, social workers, and officials from different agricultural sectors, attended the event.
Vice Chairperson of Pachkhal Municipality Suryamaya Danuwar was the chief guest of the program. Srijana Poudel, President of Nari Chetana Kendra Nepal, delivered the opening address, providing an insightful overview of the program’s objectives and planned activities. The main goal of the program is to promote gender inclusion and support sustainable agricultural practices through the Krishi Sathi program.
Participants engaged in discussions on the program’s implementation and strategies for achieving its goals. The meeting concluded with a strong commitment to work collaboratively towards creating a more equitable and sustainable economy in the region, with a particular focus on gender inclusion and the empowerment of local communities.
