Krishi Sathi Program at Pachkhal Municipality

On March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women’s Day, Nari Chetana Kendra Nepal (WACN) inaugurated a 35-day training program on Krishi Sathi at Pachkhal Municipality, Kavre.

This pilot initiative aims to develop local female resource persons through specialized training in agricultural adaptation to climate change and weather shocks. These trained women, designated as Krishi Sathi (Farmers’ Friends), will play a crucial role in enhancing the adaptive capacity of community women, helping them mitigate the impacts of climate change and weather-related shocks on agriculture and livestock production.
