Advocacy and Networking

There are various issues on cooperatives, human rights, women’s rights, rights of the child, agriculture, climate justice, energy which needs to be advocated at local, national and international levels. WACN will be organizing advocacy activities depending on the local social issues to raise awareness of community members and encourage them particularly women, children and disadvantaged to participate in all aspects of development process concerning them in association with respective national networks- Human Rights Treaties Monitoring Coordination Committee (HRTMCC), Beyond Beijing Committee (BBC) , Women Security Pressure Group (WSPG) and different international donor and partner organizations.

Key interventions:

  • WACN involved in advocacy activities at local, national, and international levels;
  • Evidence-based reports and articles prepared to generate mass awareness and consensus;
  • Collaborative approach utilised to engage policymakers, NGOs, and other stakeholders in the process of development;
  • Community members encouraged in the project areas to begin performing self-advocacy for their development and welfare;
  • Educate and empower the local community to receive governments funds and training for addressing the local development challenges.
  • Publish different books and articles on women’s, children’s and disadvantaged community’s issues.
  • Bring voice of voiceless through different documentary production, radio and television interview and organize different interaction program with policy makers.
  • Policy research, advocacy, lobbying and campaigning on various issues at local, national and international levels
