Nari Chetana Kendra Nepal (WACN) recently hosted a practical EPC demonstration workshop and distribution program in ward number 4, 10 and 13 of Banepa Municipality on different dates. The workshop, held under the Modern Energy Cooking Service, sought to establish a sustainable supply-chain and increase demand for energy efficient cooking practices in two districts through Savings and Credit Co-operative Organisations (SACCOS). Bimala Sapkota, Vice-Chairperson Banepa Municipality was the chief guest of ward number 10 program. Participants from a prior awareness session, well-informed about the EPC’s use, features, and benefits, were invited. The workshop included hands-on instructions for EPC usage, highlighting its versatility through the preparation of various Nepali dishes. Following the demonstration, interested participants were offered EPC in subsidized prices.
